Here is a brief explanation of Aadhar card update or Aadhar correction. Just follow the steps below to update Aadhar card address.

Step1. You need to log on to the UIDAI website in order to change Aadhaar address online.

Step2. On the UIDAI website, click on Address Update Request. A webpage open in new tab. click on Proceed after going through the instructions.

Step3. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and text verification code in the box and click on Send OTP button.



Step4. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number registered in UIDAI’s database. Enter OTP to login to your Aadhaar account.

Step5. Just Tick the Address option and click on the Submit button. Enter your residential address mentioned in the Proof of Address. Click on the “Submit Update Request” button.

Step6. In case you want to modify your address, click the Modify option and tick the declaration and click on the Proceed button.

Step7. Select the document type you want to submit as PoA for verification and upload the scanned copy of the address proof and click on the submit button & click on the “Yes” button.

Step8. Select the BPO service provider that will verify your details and click on Submit button. The BPO service provider inspects if the details mentioned in the form matches with the POA and forward your request to UIDAI.

Step9. The update request is then accepted and an acknowledgment slip is provided to you. It contains the Update Request number. Once update is completed, you can download the updated version of Aadhaar card.
